TRANSSIBERIA PDF Drukuj Email

Ride the Trans Siberian railway from Moscow all the way to the farthest eastern port of Vladivostok, or turn south after Lake Baikal to Mongolia and China. If you like, go the other way - get on the train in China, and ride to Moscow. We can help you do it either way. Whichever route you choose, the ride will be unforgettable. The villages and faces, the sights and sounds of Siberia and the Ural mountains are worth the journey. Stops include Lake Baikal, the Pearl of Siberia. The deepest lake in the world and with one fifth of all of the fresh water in the world. It is so clean that you can drink it as you swim in it. Eat the tastiest fish, barbecued Omul, only found in Baikal. You will stop in Irkutsk with an option to stay in Ulan Ude, one on each side of the lake, symbolic of the nature of Siberia, where Europe meets Asia. Here you see a change in the population from European Russians to Asian Russians, as Ulan Ude is the centre of the Buryat republic, the land of the people who left Mongolia many hundred years ago. In Mongolia and Ulaan Baator, after a day in a fine hotel, go and spend a night in a Yurt. In Peking, walk on Tiananmen Square, and see the Forbidden City, and then see the Summer Palace after a dinner of Peking duck. If time permits, include Novosibirsk, and Khabarovsk, otherwise if time is short, do part of the travel by plane, and the most picturesque parts by train. Heading further East will take you to Kamchatka. Situated in a truly unique ecological and natural landscape, with volcanoes, natural geysers and mountains as your neighbours - Kamchatka is like a lost world. There are 28 active volcanoes in Kamchatka and more than 150 dormant ones. Added to this are approximately 400 glaciers, most of which are located in the mountains and can be visited by helicopter. Not may people live in Kamchatka, but you will have some interesting companions, if you don't mind sharing the landscape with sables, bears and wolves! As well as exploring the natural landscape, for the more energetic, Kamchatka offers every kind of activity including fishing, cycling, mountaineering, rafting, bathing in the hot springs, whale watching, snowboarding and heli-skiing. Though many people come here simply to relax and experience the breathtaking scenery and fauna, and to benefit from the clean environment. Kamchatka is especially popular with people from large cities, as the contrast from the polluted air and street noise is incredible. There are countless mineral water springs including 160 hot water springs, where you can soak in a natural steaming hot bath surrounded by giant plants. Our Tours are based in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, from where it is easy to take day trips to everything worth seeing. We think Kamchatka is ideal to visit between July and September.
